OHSU CENTER FOR RADIOCHEMISTRY RESEARCH

PROJECT TEAM:

  • Stan Barter - Project Architect

  • SRG Partnership - Architect of Record

  • PAE Engineering - MEP Engineers

  • Catena Engineering - Structural Engineers

The ambitious design, challenging site, and construction complexities of Oregon Health & Science University’s Center for Radiochemistry Research required close collaboration with the contractor, owner, and end user. The project brief demanded an extensive program within an extremely tight footprint (pharmacy, clean rooms, office space, organic chemistry lab, conference room, and a literal particle accelerator in under 10,000 SF). The resulting structure—touching six existing research buildings erected over seven decades—is both custom tailored to its function and sensitively designed to prioritize occupant experience.
